Grandma's Spaghetti & Meatballs
A classic Spaghetti & Meatballs recipe perfect for a comforting fall dinner. The meatballs are tender, the sauce is garlicky, and it all comes together into a cozy bowl of pasta.

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 egg
- 0.5 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp cream
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley
- 0.25 cup grated parmesan
- 0.25 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 to taste salt
- 1 to taste pepper
- 1 for frying olive oil
- 1 small pat butter
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 shallot
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 splash cooking wine
- 1 handful fresh basil
- 1 to taste salt
- 1 to taste pepper
- 1 package spaghetti
- 1 for pasta water salt
- 1 for garnish fresh basil
- 1 for garnish grated parmesan
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, cream, garlic, parsley, parmesan, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper until just combined. Roll into meatballs.
- Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat. Sear the meatballs on all sides until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, sauté garlic and shallot until fragrant. Pour in tomato sauce and a splash of cooking wine. Season with salt, pepper, and basil.
- Add the meatballs back into the sauce, cover, and let simmer on low for 15–20 minutes until cooked through and flavorful.
- Meanwhile, cook spaghetti in salted water until al dente. Toss the noodles with a splash of the pasta water and some sauce.
- Serve the spaghetti topped with meatballs, more sauce, fresh basil, and a generous sprinkle of parmesan.
