Cinnamon Honey Lemonade

An American-style lemonade blended from fresh lemon juice, honey, water, and a small amount of cinnamon. The drink is stirred to dissolve the honey, then chilled and served over ice for a clean citrus finish with a warm spice note.

Cinnamon Honey Lemonade

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 60 ml water divided
  • 90 ml honey none
  • 1 g ground cinnamon none
  • 0.5 g fine salt none
  • 180 ml fresh lemon juice strained if desired
  • 720 ml water divided
  • 240 g ice for serving
  • 4 slices lemon slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine 60 ml of the water with the honey, ground cinnamon, and salt. Warm over low heat, whisking just until the honey dissolves and the mixture is fragrant; do not boil. Remove from the heat and let it cool for 2 minutes. The honey is fully dissolved and the liquid smells lightly of cinnamon.
  2. In the pitcher, combine the lemon juice, the remaining 720 ml water, and the warm cinnamon-honey mixture. Stir well. The lemonade looks uniform with no syrup settling at the bottom.
  3. Taste and adjust only if needed: if you want a brighter drink, add a little more lemon juice; if you want it softer, add a splash more water. Pour over ice in glasses and add lemon slices if using. The drink is chilled, balanced, and ready to serve over ice.
