Lasagna Featuring Homemade Vodka Sauce

Lasagna featuring homemade vodka sauce. This is hands down the best lasagna ever made, with the key to using oven-ready lasagne being to drench each piece and all the edges in sauce so that it cooks properly and gets soft.

Lasagna Featuring Homemade Vodka Sauce

Cook time: 30 minutes

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 16 oz ricotta cheese
  • 6 oz cream cheese
  • 0.5 cup grated parmesan
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1 piece egg
  • 1 tbsp grated garlic
  • 1 pinch salt and pepper
  • 1 heavy handful fresh Italian herbs
  • 2 cups FOJ vodka sauce
  • 1 box oven-ready lasagne
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 2 cups FOJ vodka sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F while you prep the vodka sauce and mix together the cheese filling ingredients.
  2. Mix together the cheese filling ingredients: ricotta cheese, cream cheese, grated parmesan, shredded mozzarella, egg, grated garlic, a pinch of salt and pepper, and a heavy handful of fresh Italian herbs.
  3. Grab a 9x13" baking pan. (Barilla oven-ready sheets will fit perfectly into this size!)
  4. Start with the vodka sauce in the bottom of the pan.
  5. Add three sheets of lasagne on top of the sauce, add a layer of cheese filling and repeat until you run out of lasange sheets.
  6. Finish the top layer of lasange sheets with mozzarella shreds and pour vodka sauce over the top.
  7. Bake for 30 minutes and let the lasagna cool down for 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
