Autumn Spiced Apple Fizz

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 720 ml apple cider chilled
  • 480 ml sparkling water chilled
  • 15 ml lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 2 g ground cinnamon
  • 1 g ground nutmeg
  • 15 ml maple syrup
  • 300 g ice
  • 120 g apple thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. Add the apple cider, sparkling water, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and maple syrup, if using, to a pitcher. Stir gently until the spices are evenly suspended. The drink looks uniformly seasoned with no spice clumps floating on top.
  2. Divide the ice among 4 tall glasses, then pour the fizz over the ice. The glasses are cold and visibly full with foam or bubbles at the top.
  3. Top each glass with sliced apple and serve immediately. The apple slices are floating or resting at the rim and the drink is still bubbly.
