Potion Punch with Floating Eyeballs
A Halloween punch that combines citrusy juice, pineapple juice, and lemon-lime soda, then finishes with lychee-and-blueberry eyeballs floating in the bowl. It is served cold over ice for a bright, lightly sparkling drink.

Ingredients
- 16 piece canned lychee drained
- 16 piece blueberries rinsed
- 720 ml orange juice chilled
- 480 ml pineapple juice chilled
- 30 ml fresh lemon juice freshly squeezed
- 960 g ice for serving
- 710 ml lemon-lime soda chilled
Instructions
- If needed, chill the juice, soda, serving glasses, and punch bowl for at least 30 minutes before starting. This recipe itself takes 15 minutes once the ingredients are cold. The ingredients are cold and ready to assemble.
- Make the floating eyeball garnish: use a small spoon or your finger to press 1 blueberry into the center cavity of each lychee, using all 16 lychees and 16 blueberries. Each lychee has a blueberry 'pupil' centered inside it.
- In the punch bowl, combine 720 ml orange juice, 480 ml pineapple juice, and 30 ml lemon juice. The punch base looks uniform and well mixed.
- Add 960 g ice and stir briefly to chill the base. The mixture is very cold and the ice has begun to float.
- Just before serving, pour in 710 ml lemon-lime soda and stir once or twice to combine without flattening the bubbles. The punch is foamy at the surface and visibly sparkling.
- Ladle into 8 glasses, then top each serving with 2 lychee-blueberry eyeballs. Each glass has two floating eyeball garnishes and the punch is still fizzy.
