Frankenstein's Veggie Platter
A Halloween snack platter that uses cut vegetables to build a Frankenstein face on a large board or tray. The vegetables are served raw for maximum crunch, with a lemony yogurt dip to anchor the center and give the platter a clear focal point.

Ingredients
- 240 g plain Greek yogurt
- 30 g mayonnaise
- 15 ml lemon juice freshly squeezed
- 2 g garlic powder
- 1 g dried dill
- 2 g salt
- 0.5 g black pepper freshly ground
- 3 medium carrots peeled and cut into sticks
- 2 medium cucumbers halved lengthwise and sliced into half-moons
- 2 medium red bell pepper seeded and cut into strips and small triangles for the face details
- 4 stalks celery cut into sticks
- 2 cups broccoli florets cut into small florets
- 12 whole black olives pitted and halved
- 12 whole cherry tomatoes halved
Instructions
- Make the dip: in a small bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, lemon juice, garlic powder, dried dill, salt, and black pepper. Stir until smooth. Taste and adjust with a little more salt or lemon juice if needed. The dip is smooth, tangy, and spoonable.
- On a large platter, spoon the dip into a round mound or bowl-shaped space near the center to serve as Frankenstein's face. The center dip area is clearly defined.
- Arrange the vegetables around the dip to form the face: cucumber slices or celery for a face outline, broccoli florets or celery sticks for the hair, olive halves for eyes, a red pepper triangle for the mouth, and tomato halves or olive pieces for bolts and scars. Fill in gaps with carrot sticks and pepper strips so the platter looks full and balanced. The platter resembles Frankenstein's face and is easy to pick up from the edges.
- Serve immediately, or cover and chill for up to 1 hour before serving if you want the vegetables extra crisp. The vegetables stay bright and crunchy, and the dip remains chilled.
