Ghostly Green Smoothie

This Halloween drink blends spinach, banana, yogurt, milk, and honey into a thick green smoothie, then finishes it with ghost-shaped fruit pieces for a playful look. The flavor stays fruit-forward and creamy, with just enough spinach to keep the color vivid without tasting vegetal.

Ghostly Green Smoothie

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 60 g baby spinach washed and packed
  • 240 g banana peeled and sliced; about 2 medium bananas
  • 240 g plain Greek yogurt plain, unsweetened
  • 360 ml whole milk cold
  • 30 ml honey for sweetness
  • 5 ml vanilla extract optional but recommended
  • 240 g ice cubes for a colder, thicker smoothie
  • 120 g apple slices cut into ghost shapes or simple ghost-like silhouettes for garnish
  • 10 ml lemon juice to prevent the apple garnish from browning

Instructions

  1. Add the spinach, banana, Greek yogurt, milk, honey, vanilla extract, and ice to the blender. Blend on high until completely smooth and pale green, about 30 to 60 seconds. The smoothie looks uniform with no visible spinach flecks and has a thick, pourable texture.
  2. Taste and adjust only if needed: for a sweeter smoothie, add a little more honey; for a looser texture, add a small splash of milk and blend briefly again. These adjustments are optional. The flavor is balanced and the texture pours easily but remains creamy.
  3. Toss the apple slices with lemon juice, then cut them into simple ghost shapes or use a small cutter if you have one. The apple pieces are lightly coated and ready to garnish without browning quickly.
  4. Divide the smoothie among 4 glasses and garnish each with the ghost-shaped apple pieces. Each glass is filled and visibly decorated with the ghost garnish.
