Witch's Cauldron Punch

This punch is assembled at the last minute so the sherbet stays frothy and the soda stays lively. Pineapple juice gives the drink a little more structure than soda alone, while gummy worms and optional dry ice-free fog styling keep the Halloween look fun without complicating the kitchen workflow.

Witch's Cauldron Punch

Servings: 8

Ingredients

  • 480 ml pineapple juice chilled
  • 2 ml green food coloring optional, for deeper color
  • 710 g lime sherbet slightly softened
  • 1770 ml lemon-lime soda chilled
  • 480 g ice crushed or cubed
  • 80 g gummy worms for garnish

Instructions

  1. Add the chilled pineapple juice to a large punch bowl, then stir in the optional green food coloring if you want a brighter cauldron-green color. The liquid is evenly tinted, if using coloring.
  2. Add the lime sherbet in 4 scoops, spacing them around the bowl so they can foam over the surface. The sherbet begins to soften at the edges.
  3. Pour in the lemon-lime soda in 2 additions, letting the foam settle briefly between pours to avoid overflow. The punch is pale green, bubbly, and frothy on top.
  4. Add the ice and gently stir once or twice just to combine without flattening the carbonation. The punch is cold and the sherbet is partially melted into the drink.
  5. Float the gummy worms on top just before serving, then ladle or pour into 8 glasses. The surface is decorated with floating gummy worms and the drink is ready to serve.
