Sourdough Discard Garlic Breadsticks

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup sourdough discard
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • 0.25 cup milk
  • 3 tbsp butter melted
  • 2 whole garlic minced
  • 0.5 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 0.25 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl. Dry ingredients combined
  2. Add the sourdough discard, olive oil, melted butter, and milk. Mix into a soft dough, adding a little more milk if needed, then knead gently for 1 to 2 minutes. Soft dough formed and briefly kneaded
  3. Divide the dough into 12 pieces and roll each one into a breadstick. 12 breadsticks shaped
  4. Make the garlic butter by combining the melted butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and salt. Garlic butter mixed
  5. Brush the breadsticks with garlic butter and bake at 400°F for 15 to 18 minutes. Breadsticks baked
