Witch's Brew Mocktail

This Halloween drink is built by stirring chilled limeade with lemon-lime soda, then adding gummy eyeballs just before serving so they float on top. A little lime juice sharpens the citrus and keeps the flavor from reading too sweet. Serve it very cold over ice for the clearest fizz and the spookiest look.

Ingredients

• 960 ml limeade, chilled
• 60 ml fresh lime juice
• 720 ml lemon-lime soda, chilled
• 480 g ice
• 16 pieces gummy eyeballs
• 8 slices lime slices for garnish

Instructions

1. Add the chilled limeade and fresh lime juice to a large pitcher and stir to combine. The mixture looks uniform and brightly citrusy.
2. Pour in the chilled lemon-lime soda and stir gently just until combined so the carbonation stays lively. The drink is evenly mixed and still fizzy.
3. Divide the ice among 8 glasses, then pour the mocktail over the ice, using 60 g ice per glass. Each glass is cold and filled with a lively fizz.
4. Add 2 gummy eyeballs to each glass and, if using, top each serving with 1 lime slice. The gummies float on top and the drink has a clear Halloween look.
