Spooky Blood Orange Spritzer

Servings: 8

Ingredients

  • 60 ml grenadine room temperature or chilled
  • 720 ml blood orange juice freshly squeezed or well-chilled bottled juice
  • 960 ml sparkling water well chilled
  • 480 g ice for serving
  • 16 pieces gummy eyeballs for garnish

Instructions

  1. Add 60 ml grenadine to a large pitcher. The pitcher contains the grenadine and is ready for juice.
  2. Pour in 720 ml blood orange juice and stir gently to combine. The mixture is evenly colored and no grenadine streaks remain.
  3. Just before serving, add 960 ml sparkling water and stir once or twice to keep the fizz. The drink looks lightly effervescent without excessive foam.
  4. Fill 8 glasses with 60 g ice each, then pour the spritzer evenly among them. Each glass is chilled and filled close to the rim.
  5. Garnish each serving with 2 gummy eyeballs, if using, and serve immediately. Each glass has a spooky garnish and the fizz is still lively.
