Ingredients

  • 0 chicken or vegetable broth (amount not specified)
  • 0 apple cider vinegar (amount not specified)
  • 0 maple syrup (amount not specified)
  • 0 Dijon mustard (amount not specified)
  • 0 garlic cloves, minced (amount not specified)
  • 0 chopped fresh rosemary (amount not specified)
  • 0 extra-virgin olive oil (amount not specified)
  • 0 shelf-stable potato gnocchi (amount not specified)
  • 0 Brussels sprouts, trimmed and thinly sliced (amount not specified)
  • 0 minced shallots (amount not specified)
  • 0 hot or sweet Italian turkey sausage (amount not specified)
  • 0 freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese (amount not specified)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine chicken or vegetable broth, apple cider vinegar, maple syrup, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, and chopped fresh rosemary to make the sauce.
  2. Heat extra-virgin olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the shelf-stable potato gnocchi to the skillet and cook until crispy and golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Remove the gnocchi from the skillet and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add more olive oil if needed, and add the thinly sliced Brussels sprouts and minced shallots. Cook until the Brussels sprouts are caramelized, about 5 minutes.
  6. Add the hot or sweet Italian turkey sausage to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through, breaking it up with a spoon, about 5-7 minutes.
  7. Return the crispy gnocchi to the skillet.
  8. Pour the prepared rosemary-cider sauce over the gnocchi, sausage, and Brussels sprouts. Toss everything to coat well.
  9. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through and the flavors meld together.
  10. Sprinkle freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese over the top before serving.
