Ingredients
- 50 g Canned Tuna drained
- 20 g Mayonnaise
- 60 g Avocado
- 0 Green Onions finely sliced
- 0 Black Pepper freshly cracked
- 0 Salt
- 20 g Cheddar Cheese medium cheddar, grated
- 2 slices White Bread
- 6 g Unsalted Butter
- 1 large Egg
Instructions
- Drain the canned tuna thoroughly and transfer it to a mixing bowl.
- Add mayonnaise to the tuna and gently fold to combine until smooth and cohesive.
- Mash the avocado in a separate bowl until just a few small lumps remain.
- Finely slice the green onions and set aside a small pinch for garnish.
- Fold the mashed avocado, sliced green onions, and freshly cracked black pepper into the tuna mixture.
- Grate the cheddar cheese and have it ready for assembly.
- Lay the slices of bread on a clean board. Spread the tuna-avocado mixture evenly onto one slice and sprinkle the grated cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
- Top with the second slice of bread to form a sandwich, pressing lightly.
- Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-low heat. Add the butter and let it melt until it foams gently.
- Place the sandwich in the skillet. Cook on the first side until deep golden and crispy, about 3-4 minutes.
- Flip the sandwich carefully and cook the other side until golden and the cheese is melted, about 3 minutes.
- Transfer the sandwich to a cutting board and let rest for 1 minute to set the cheese and filling.
- Wipe out the pan. Add a touch more butter if necessary. Crack the egg into the skillet and cook sunny side up until the white is set and the yolk is still runny.
- Cut the sandwich in half diagonally. Place on a plate, top with the fried egg, and finish with a sprinkle of reserved green onions.
