Cinnamon Roll Iced Coffee

Cook time: 5 minutes

Servings: 2

Ingredients

  • 60 ml water for cinnamon syrup
  • 40 g granulated sugar for cinnamon syrup
  • 1.5 g ground cinnamon divided: syrup and garnish
  • 300 ml strong brewed coffee, chilled brewed and cooled
  • 120 ml whole milk cold
  • 2 ml vanilla extract for the drink
  • 180 g ice cubes for serving
  • 60 g whipped cream for topping
  • 0.5 g ground cinnamon divided: syrup and garnish

Instructions

  1. Make the cinnamon syrup: combine 60 ml water, 40 g sugar, and 1.5 g ground cinnamon in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until the sugar fully dissolves, then remove from the heat and cool for 3 to 5 minutes. The syrup is clear or slightly opaque, fully dissolved, and smells strongly of cinnamon.
  2. In a tall glass or shaker, combine 300 ml chilled brewed coffee, 120 ml milk, and 2 ml vanilla extract. Stir or shake briefly until homogeneous. The drink base looks evenly mixed with no visible streaks of milk or vanilla.
  3. Fill 2 serving glasses with 90 g ice cubes each, then divide the coffee mixture evenly between them. Drizzle 20 ml cinnamon syrup over each glass and stir gently to marble the flavor through the drink. Each glass is cold, diluted slightly by the ice, and lightly swirled with cinnamon syrup.
  4. Top each drink with 30 g whipped cream and finish with the remaining 0.5 g ground cinnamon. Serve immediately. The whipped cream sits on top without melting away right away, and the cinnamon aroma is noticeable.
