Fiery Chilli Garlic Prawns
A spicy and satisfying dish of prawns cooked in a chilli garlic sauce, inspired by Kerala style prawns. This recipe is high in protein and low in calories, making it a healthy choice for those watching their diet.

Ingredients
- 250 g cleaned & deveined prawns
- 0.5 lemon lemon juice
- 1 tsp Kashmiri chili powder
- 1 tsp chili flakes
- 1 to taste salt
- 1 to taste pepper
- 1 tsp ghee
- 1.5 tbsp garlic
- 1 to taste fresh green chili
- 0.75 cup chopped tomatoes
- 1 tsp Kashmiri chili powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp chaat masala
- 1 batch marinated prawns
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 tbsp fresh cream
- 1 for garnish fresh coriander leaves
- 1 serving bread, naan or rice
Instructions
- Marinate prawns with lemon juice, Kashmiri chili powder, chili flakes, salt, and pepper. Rest for 10 minutes.
- Heat ghee in a skillet, add chopped garlic and green chili. Sauté until fragrant.
- Add tomatoes and cook until soft and pulpy.
- Mix in Kashmiri chili powder, coriander powder, and chaat masala.
- Add marinated prawns, season with a pinch of salt, and cook on high for 3–4 minutes until prawns release water and are just cooked.
- Switch off flame, stir in fresh cream, and garnish with coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with bread, naan or rice.
