Ingredients
- 16 oz ricotta cheese
- 6 oz cream cheese
- 0.5 cup grated parmesan
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp grated garlic
- 1 pinch salt and pepper
- 1 handful fresh Italian herbs
- 2 cups vodka sauce
- 1 box oven-ready lasagne
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F while you prep the vodka sauce and mix together the cheese filling ingredients.
- Prepare the cheese filling by mixing together 16 oz ricotta cheese, 6 oz cream cheese, 1/2 cup grated parmesan, 1 cup shredded mozzarella, 1 egg, 1 tbsp grated garlic, a pinch of salt and pepper, and a heavy handful of fresh Italian herbs such as basil and parsley.
- Grab a 9x13" baking pan. Barilla oven-ready sheets will fit perfectly into this size.
- Start layering by adding the vodka sauce to the bottom of the pan.
- Add three sheets of oven-ready lasagne on top of the sauce.
- Add a layer of the prepared cheese filling on top of the lasagne sheets.
- Repeat the layering process until you run out of lasagne sheets. Finish the top layer of lasagne sheets with mozzarella shreds and pour vodka sauce over the top.
- Bake the lasagna in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
- Let the lasagna cool down for 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
