Caramelized Onion Sliders
Delicious caramelized onion sliders, perfect for your next football watch party. They feature sweet Hawaiian rolls, savory ground beef, and melty American cheese, all topped with sesame seeds for an irresistible snack.

Ingredients
- 1 large white onion thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil for sautéing
- 0.25 cup water add as needed
- 1 pound ground beef
- 0.5 teaspoon salt
- 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 12 rolls Hawaiian rolls sliced in half
- 1 tablespoon butter melted, for greasing
- 1 cup caramelized onion dip or French onion dip
- 0.5 cup caramelized onions from earlier
- 12 slices American cheese
- 2 tablespoons butter melted, for brushing
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
Instructions
- Thinly slice the onion and sauté it with oil over medium heat until caramelized. If the onions become too dry, add a bit of water.
- Cook the ground beef in a pan, seasoning it with salt, pepper, ketchup, and mustard. Cook until the beef is browned.
- Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half and place the bottom halves on a buttered baking tray.
- Spread a layer of caramelized onion dip and a layer of caramelized onions on the rolls.
- Add 6 slices of American cheese on top of the caramelized onions, then evenly top with ground beef and finish with 6 more slices of cheese.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F until the cheese is melted.
- Place the top half of the Hawaiian rolls on top, brush with melted butter, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes.
- Serve the sliders immediately and enjoy with a side of your favorite dip.
