Maple Pecan Tart with Sea Salt
A decadent tart filled with a gooey maple pecan filling and topped with a hint of sea salt for a balance of flavors.

Ingredients
- 1.25 cups all-purpose flour
- 0.5 cup butter cold, cubed
- 2 tablespoons ice water 2-4 tablespoons as needed
- 0.75 cup maple syrup
- 0.25 cup brown sugar
- 3 pieces eggs
- 3 tablespoons butter melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1.5 cups pecans chopped
- 0 flaky sea salt for garnish
Instructions
- Mix flour and cold butter until crumbly. Gradually add ice water, one tablespoon at a time, until dough comes together. Roll out the dough and press into a tart pan. Chill for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together maple syrup, brown sugar, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth. Stir in chopped pecans.
- Pour the filling into the chilled crust. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until the filling is set.
- Once the tart is baked, remove from oven and let cool slightly before sprinkling with flaky sea salt.
