Fall is just around the corner and figs are finally in season. This is a cocktail recipe that uses fig jam, fresh lemon juice, honey syrup, and gin. It is garnished with a fig slice and thyme.

Fall Season Fig Cocktail

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp fig jam
  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 0.5 oz honey syrup
  • 2 oz gin
  • 1 shaker ice
  • 1 slice fig slice
  • 1 sprig thyme
  • 1 part water
  • 1 part honey

Instructions

  1. Combine 1 tbsp fig jam, 1 oz fresh lemon juice, .5 oz honey syrup, and 2 oz gin in a cocktail shaker.
  2. Fill the cocktail shaker with ice.
  3. Shake the cocktail shaker until the mixture is cold.
  4. Strain the mixture into a coupe glass.
  5. Garnish the cocktail with a fig slice and thyme.
  6. To make the honey syrup, add equal parts water and honey to a saucepan and set to low/medium heat.
  7. Stir the honey and water mixture until the honey dissolves.
  8. Let the honey syrup cool.
  9. Store the honey syrup in an airtight container.
