Ingredients

  • 2 oz chai tea
  • 1 piece lemon wedge
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon sugar
  • 1 cup ice
  • 2 oz cognac
  • 0.75 oz orange liqueur
  • 0.75 oz lemon juice
  • 0.75 oz maple syrup
  • 1 piece star anise

Instructions

  1. Prepare a strong chai tea by brewing it in hot water and allowing it to cool.
  2. Cut a lemon wedge and run it around the rim of your cocktail glass.
  3. Dip the rim of the glass into a shallow plate of cinnamon sugar to coat evenly.
  4. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
  5. Add cognac, orange liqueur, lemon juice, maple syrup, and cooled chai tea to the shaker.
  6. Shake the mixture vigorously for 15 seconds until well chilled.
  7. Strain the mixture into the prepared glass.
  8. Garnish with a star anise for an aromatic finish.
