Cinnamon Sugar Hawaiian Roll French Toast Churros

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 0.75 cup whole milk
  • 0.5 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pack Hawaiian rolls
  • 2 tablespoon salted butter
  • 1 tablespoon salted butter
  • 0.25 cup white sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 0 maple syrup

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, whole milk, cinnamon, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  2. Tear the Hawaiian rolls apart into individual pieces.
  3. Dip each piece of roll into the egg mixture for 15 to 20 seconds, ensuring it is fully coated.
  4. Heat 2 tablespoons of salted butter in a pan over medium heat.
  5. Cook the dipped rolls in the pan on all sides until they are golden brown.
  6. Remove the cooked rolls from the pan and set aside.
  7. Add the remaining tablespoon of butter to the pan and repeat the cooking process with the rest of the rolls.
  8. In a shallow bowl, mix together the white sugar and cinnamon.
  9. Toss the warm cooked rolls in the cinnamon sugar mixture until they are fully coated.
  10. Serve the churros with warm maple syrup for dipping.
