Thanksgiving Sangria

Ingredients

  • 3 sliced honeycrisp apples
  • 2 sliced pears
  • 2 sliced oranges
  • 5 whole cinnamon sticks
  • 750 mL red wine
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 1 cup cranberry juice
  • 0.5 cup apple brandy
  • 0 to taste ginger beer

Instructions

  1. Slice honeycrisp apples and pears into thin slices or use small cookie cutters to cut them into fall shapes.
  2. Slice oranges into thin rounds.
  3. Combine apples, pears, oranges, and cinnamon sticks in a large pitcher.
  4. Pour red wine over the fruit mixture in the pitcher.
  5. Add apple cider, cranberry juice, and apple brandy to the pitcher and stir gently.
  6. Refrigerate the sangria for at least 2 hours to allow flavors to meld.
  7. Before serving, rim the glasses with cinnamon sugar.
  8. Pour the sangria into glasses, topping with ginger beer or soda water for a fizzy finish.
