Brûléed Pumpkin Spiked Horchata

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz vanilla vodka
  • 3 oz horchata
  • 2 tablespoons pumpkin purée
  • 1 dash pumpkin pie spice
  • 0.5 piece orange
  • 2 tablespoons turbinado sugar
  • 1 piece cinnamon stick

Instructions

  1. In a cocktail shaker, combine vanilla vodka, horchata, pumpkin purée, and a dash of pumpkin pie spice.
  2. Add ice to the shaker, cover, and shake vigorously for 8 seconds.
  3. Strain the mixture into a glass filled with fresh ice.
  4. Cut an orange in half and sprinkle the cut side with turbinado sugar.
  5. With a bar torch, carefully brûlée the sugar on the orange until it turns golden brown.
  6. Using tongs, carefully place the brûléed orange half on top of the glass.
  7. Garnish the drink with a cinnamon stick.
  8. Serve immediately, allowing guests to smell the aromatic brûléed orange and cinnamon.
