Creamy Cajun Steak Tagliatelle

Ingredients
- 180 g tagliatelle
- 1 whole white onion
- 2 whole garlic cloves
- 1 splash olive oil
- 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 2 tsp oregano
- 2 tsp Italian herbs
- 200 ml chicken stock
- 70 ml double cream
- 180 g cooked tagliatelle
- 1 splash pasta water
- 3 tbsp grated parmesan
- 1 to taste salt
- 1 to taste pepper
- 2 whole sirloin steaks
- 1 splash olive oil
- 1 to taste salt
- 1 to taste pepper
- 2 whole rosemary sprigs
- 2 whole cooked sirloin steaks
- 1 portion cooked tagliatelle with sauce
Instructions
- Cook the tagliatelle pasta until it is al dente.
- Sauté the diced onion and garlic in olive oil.
- Add the Cajun seasoning, paprika, oregano, and Italian herbs to the sautéed onion and garlic.
- Pour in the chicken stock and double cream, then simmer.
- Add the cooked pasta and a splash of pasta water to the simmering sauce.
- Stir in the grated parmesan and season to taste with salt and pepper.
- Bring the sirloin steaks to room temperature, then oil and season them.
- Sear the steaks in a hot pan with rosemary until they are cooked to your liking.
- Slice the cooked steaks and serve them immediately over the pasta.
