Creamy Cajun Steak Tagliatelle

Ingredients

  • 180 g tagliatelle
  • 1 whole white onion
  • 2 whole garlic cloves
  • 1 splash olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 2 tsp oregano
  • 2 tsp Italian herbs
  • 200 ml chicken stock
  • 70 ml double cream
  • 180 g cooked tagliatelle
  • 1 splash pasta water
  • 3 tbsp grated parmesan
  • 1 to taste salt
  • 1 to taste pepper
  • 2 whole sirloin steaks
  • 1 splash olive oil
  • 1 to taste salt
  • 1 to taste pepper
  • 2 whole rosemary sprigs
  • 2 whole cooked sirloin steaks
  • 1 portion cooked tagliatelle with sauce

Instructions

  1. Cook the tagliatelle pasta until it is al dente.
  2. Sauté the diced onion and garlic in olive oil.
  3. Add the Cajun seasoning, paprika, oregano, and Italian herbs to the sautéed onion and garlic.
  4. Pour in the chicken stock and double cream, then simmer.
  5. Add the cooked pasta and a splash of pasta water to the simmering sauce.
  6. Stir in the grated parmesan and season to taste with salt and pepper.
  7. Bring the sirloin steaks to room temperature, then oil and season them.
  8. Sear the steaks in a hot pan with rosemary until they are cooked to your liking.
  9. Slice the cooked steaks and serve them immediately over the pasta.
