Butternut Bakery Pumpkin Bread

Ingredients

  • 0.25 cup Butter softened
  • 0.5 cup All-purpose flour
  • 0.25 cup Brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoon Sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon Pumpkin pie spice
  • 15 oz Pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 0.5 cup Brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup Vegetable oil
  • 2 Eggs
  • 0.5 teaspoon Vanilla extract add more to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 0.75 teaspoon Pumpkin pie spice
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 1.75 cup All-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup Milk
  • 0.5 cup Powdered sugar
  • 0.25 cup Maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Prepare the streusel topping by mashing together the butter, flour, brown sugar, sugar, and pumpkin pie spice in a bowl.
  2. Refrigerate the streusel topping until needed.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together pumpkin puree, sugar, brown sugar, and vegetable oil until smooth.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla extract to the pumpkin mixture and mix until well combined.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together baking soda, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, salt, and flour.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Stir in the milk.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
  8. Retrieve the streusel from the refrigerator and crumble it over the top of the batter.
  9. Bake at 325°F for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Check doneness with a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf.
  10. While the bread is baking, prepare the maple glaze by mixing powdered sugar and maple syrup in a bowl until smooth.
  11. Once baked, pour the maple glaze over the hot bread. Let it soak in before slicing and serving.
