Ingredients
- 22 pieces regular Oreo cookies
- 4 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
- 1 cup heavy cream, cold
- 0.33 cup malted milk powder, sifted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 0.125 tsp salt
- 0.67 cup malted milk balls
- 1 cup heavy cream, cold
- 3 Tbsp malted milk powder, sifted
- 3 Tbsp confectioners’ sugar
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 0 roughly chopped malted milk balls
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C).
- To make the crust, place 22 regular Oreo cookies in a food processor and pulse into fine crumbs.
- Pour 4 tablespoons of melted unsalted butter into the cookie crumbs and mix until combined.
- Press the mixture tightly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie dish. Bake for 10 minutes, then allow to cool completely.
- For the filling, melt 8 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate in a heatproof bowl set over a pot of simmering water, stirring constantly until smooth. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, using a handheld or stand mixer fitted with a whisk attachment, beat 1 cup of cold heavy cream on medium-high speed until soft peaks form, about 3 minutes.
- Add 1/3 cup of sifted malted milk powder, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 1/8 teaspoon of salt. Continue beating until stiff peaks form.
- Fold the melted chocolate into the whipped cream mixture until combined. Gently fold in 2/3 cup of malted milk balls.
- Spread the filling into the cooled crust. Refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight until set.
- For the topping, beat 1 cup of cold heavy cream, 3 tablespoons of sifted malted milk powder, 3 tablespoons of confectioners’ sugar, and 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract on medium-high speed until medium peaks form, about 3 minutes.
- Spread the whipped cream over the pie and garnish with roughly chopped malted milk balls before serving.
