Spicy Red Bell Pepper Pasta
A spicy pasta dish featuring roasted red bell peppers and tomatoes, seasoned with Italian spices and Calabrian chili paste, and garnished with fresh basil and Parmesan cheese.

Ingredients
- 2 red bell peppers
- 2 Roma tomatoes
- 1 onion
- 5 garlic cloves
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 teaspoon Calabrian chili paste
- 10 ounces pasta
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cayenne or paprika
- 1 teaspoon parsley
- 3 tablespoons shredded Parmesan cheese
- 1 bunch fresh basil
- 1 pinch chili flakes
- 1 pinch Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Cut the bell peppers and tomatoes in half.
- In a baking dish, add bell peppers, tomatoes, onion, and garlic.
- Sprinkle Italian seasoning and olive oil and roast in the oven at 375 degrees F for about 20-25 minutes until slightly charred.
- In a blender jar, add the roasted vegetables, heavy whipping cream, Calabrian chilis and blend till smooth.
- Cook your pasta, saving a cup of pasta water.
- To a pan, add the sauce and cook it. Season with salt, cayenne or paprika, and parsley.
- Once the sauce has thickened, add in some pasta water.
- Add in your cooked pasta, Parmesan cheese, and stir until well coated.
- Sprinkle fresh basil, chili flakes, more Parmesan cheese and serve while hot.
- Perfect with a salad and warm garlic bread.
