Gingerbread Overnight French Toast
This gingerbread overnight French toast is the perfect easy winter breakfast, ideal for Christmas morning or any cozy winter day.

Ingredients
- 3 pieces large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons molasses
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 0.5 teaspoon cinnamon
- 0.125 teaspoon nutmeg
- 0.125 teaspoon ground cloves
- 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 0 pinch salt
- 1 loaf brioche bread
Instructions
- Combine all of the ingredients in a bowl (besides the bread).
- Whisk to combine
- Grease a medium sized oven safe dish and add the bread.
- Pour the French toast mixture over the bread, making sure to coat each piece.
- Optional: Cover with aluminum foil and store in the fridge overnight.
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- If you stored in the fridge overnight, carefully spoon any pooled liquid at the bottom of the pan over the top of the bread, redistributing it.
- If you stored overnight, set the pan on the counter while the oven preheats.
- Overnight cooking time: 30-35 minutes. Immediate cooking time: 20-25 minutes.
- Remove and serve immediately!
