Ingredients
- 1 cup dairy-free milk warm
- 4 tablespoons dairy-free butter melted
- 2.25 teaspoons active dry yeast sprinkled
- 3 cups bread flour
- 0.25 cup brown sugar
- 0.5 teaspoon salt
- 0.75 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 0.25 cup coconut milk
- 0.25 cup almond milk dairy-free
- 0.25 cup evaporated milk dairy-free
- 0.5 cup dairy-free cream cheese
- 1 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- In a saucepan, warm 1 cup of dairy-free milk with 4 tablespoons of dairy-free butter until the butter is melted.
- Pour the warm milk mixture into a bowl and sprinkle 2 1/4 teaspoons of active dry yeast over it. Let it sit until frothy, about 5-10 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine 3 cups of bread flour with 1/4 cup of brown sugar and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Add the yeast mixture and stir to form a dough.
- Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
- Roll the dough into a rectangle and spread a mixture of 3/4 cup of brown sugar and 2 tablespoons of ground cinnamon over it. Roll tightly into a log and cut into 8 even slices.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Arrange the rolls in a greased baking dish. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Mix together a dairy-free triple milk soak using 1/4 cup each of coconut milk, almond milk, and evaporated milk. Pour over the warm rolls.
- Prepare the cream cheese glaze by mixing 1/2 cup of dairy-free cream cheese with 1 cup of powdered sugar until smooth. Spread generously over the cooled rolls.
