Honey BBQ Chicken Bites
Delicious crispy chicken bites coated in a homemade honey BBQ glaze, perfect as an appetizer or snack.

Ingredients
- 14.1 oz chicken breast cut into bite size pieces
- 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
- 0.5 tsp onion granules
- 0.5 tsp garlic granules
- 0.5 tsp ground black pepper
- 0.5 tsp smoked paprika
- 0.5 tsp oregano
- 1 large egg beaten
- 1 tsp hot sauce
- 2 cups cornflakes crushed
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 0.5 cup honey
- 20 ml water
Instructions
- In a bowl, add the chicken pieces and all of the seasonings listed. Mix well to coat.
- Take a piece of chicken, dip it in the egg and then the cornflakes mixture, pat them in well and set aside. Continue with the remaining chicken pieces.
- Set your air fryer to 190°C, and spray the tray with a little oil. Place the chicken bites in a single layer. Cook for 12 minutes, turning half way through. Once the cooking cycle is complete, check the chicken is cooked through with a meat thermometer.
- When the chicken has 5 minutes left. In a pan, on low heat, add the butter, once melted, add the BBQ sauce and stir, then add the water and honey. Stir to combine. Simmer for 2 minutes. If you would like to loosen it up a little more, add a tbsp of water. Remove from the heat and set aside.
- Dip the chicken bites in the sauce or glaze with a brush! Serve immediately.
