French Toast Casserole With Cream Cheese Icing

Ingredients
- 1 loaf brioche bread loaf
- 6 large eggs
- 2 cups whole milk
- 0.5 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 0.5 cup half-and-half
- 0.25 tsp salt
- 4 tbsp butter
- 0.25 cup brown sugar
- 16 oz softened cream cheese
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 4 tbsp milk
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tsp almond extract
- 0 blueberries
- 0 strawberries
- 0 powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Cut the brioche bread loaf into cubes.
- Combine eggs, whole milk, granulated sugar, cinnamon, half-and-half, and salt in a bowl and mix together.
- In a 13x9 inch pan, add the cubed brioche bread to the bottom of the pan, then pour the egg mixture over the bread.
- Melt 4 tablespoons of butter and combine with 1/4 cup of brown sugar, then layer this mixture on top of the casserole.
- Bake the casserole in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes.
- While the casserole is baking, make the cream cheese icing by combining softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk, vanilla extract, and almond extract until it has a creamy consistency.
- When the casserole is finished baking, let it cool completely.
- Once cooled, add the cream cheese icing on top of the casserole.
- Top the casserole with fresh blueberries, strawberries, and a dusting of powdered sugar before serving.
