Homemade Salmon And Shrimp Hibachi
A quick and easy homemade hibachi recipe featuring salmon, shrimp, fried rice, and a flavorful white sauce.

Ingredients
- 1 lb salmon
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp black or white pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp butter
- 0.25 cup diced onions
- 4 large garlic cloves
- 2 cups day-old white rice
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 0.25 cup frozen peas and carrots
- 1 large large eggs
- 1 lb salmon
- 1 lb large shrimp
- 1 cup mayo
- 3 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
Instructions
- Prepare the salmon by cubing 1 lb of salmon.
- Season the salmon and shrimp with 1-2 tsp garlic powder, 1-2 tsp onion powder, 1-2 tsp smoked paprika, 1-2 tsp black or white pepper, and 1-2 tsp salt if desired.
- In a large pan, melt 2-3 tbsp butter over medium heat.
- Add 1/4 cup diced onions and 4 large minced garlic cloves to the pan and sauté until the onions are translucent.
- Add 2-4 cups of day-old white rice, 1 tbsp oyster sauce, 2 tbsp - 1/4 cup soy sauce, and 1-2 tsp sesame oil to the pan. Stir to combine.
- Add 1/4-1/2 cup of frozen peas and carrots to the rice and stir until heated through.
- Push the rice to one side of the pan and add 1-2 large whisked eggs to the empty side. Scramble the eggs and then mix them into the rice.
- In a separate pan, cook the seasoned salmon and shrimp until they are cooked through.
- Prepare the white sauce by mixing 1 cup mayo, 3 tbsp water, 1 tbsp tomato paste, 1-2 tbsp rice vinegar, 1 tbsp melted butter, 1 tbsp sugar, 2 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp black pepper, and 1 tsp paprika. Allow to cool in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
- Serve the cooked salmon and shrimp over the fried rice and drizzle with the prepared white sauce.
