Egg Drop Dumpling Soup

Ingredients
- 0.5 pound ground pork or chicken
- 1 tsp ginger grated
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 0.25 cup green onions finely chopped
- 18 pieces wonton wrappers 16-20 wrappers
- 0 water
- 0 water for boiling
- 6 cups chicken stock
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 inch ginger grated
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 0.25 tsp white pepper optional
- 3 large eggs beaten
- 2 pieces green onions sliced for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix ground meat, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, and green onions until well combined.
- Place a teaspoon of the filling in the center of each wonton wrapper. Moisten the edges with water, fold in half to form a triangle, and press to seal.
- Bring a pot of water to a gentle boil. Add dumplings and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until they float to the surface.
- In a large pot, bring chicken stock to a boil. Add garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, and white pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Reduce the heat to low and slowly drizzle the beaten eggs into the simmering broth while stirring gently in a circular motion.
- Add cooked dumplings to the soup and heat for 1-2 minutes. Ladle the soup into bowls and garnish with sliced green onions.
