Beef, Broccoli & Edamame Rice
A flavorful dish combining tender beef, fresh broccoli, and nutritious edamame with a savory sauce.

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoon cornflour
- 0.5 cup beef stock or water
- 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
- 1.5 tablespoon light soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 2 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 2 clove garlic cloves
- 500 gram beef rump, flank, or scotch fillet
- 2 tablespoon vegetable or peanut oil
- 500 gram sliced beef
- 4 cup broccoli florets
- 150 gram snow peas
- 1 cup edamame beans
- 0.5 unit brown onion
- 2 cup cooked rice
- 1 batch sauce
- 500 gram beef
- 1 to taste sesame seeds
- 1 to taste spring onion
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix 2 tablespoons of cornflour with 1/2 cup of beef stock or water until smooth.
- Add 1 tablespoon of dark soy sauce, 1 1/2 tablespoons of light soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce, 2 tablespoons of honey, 1 teaspoon of sesame oil, 1 teaspoon of grated ginger, and 2 minced garlic cloves to the bowl. Stir well to combine.
- Thinly slice 500g of beef rump, flank, or scotch fillet against the grain.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable or peanut oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced beef to the pan and stir-fry until browned. Remove from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add 3–4 cups of broccoli florets and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
- Add 150g of trimmed snow peas, 1 cup of thawed edamame beans, and 1/2 sliced brown onion to the pan. Stir-fry for another 2 minutes.
- Add 2 cups of cooked rice to the pan and stir well to combine with the vegetables.
- Return the beef to the pan and pour the sauce over the mixture. Stir well to coat everything evenly.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through. Serve garnished with sesame seeds and sliced spring onion.
