Ingredients
- 0.5 cup unsalted butter
- 0.75 cup granulated sugar
- 0.5 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 medium bananas
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 0.75 cup all-purpose flour
- 0.33 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 0.25 teaspoon salt
- 0.33 cup dark chocolate chips
- 0.75 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add the eggs, mashed bananas, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
- Add the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Mix gently until just combined. Don’t over mix.
- Fold in dark chocolate chips if using.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Drizzle the glaze over the cooled brownies. Optionally, add mini chocolate chips and sliced bananas on top. Enjoy!
