Homemade Brown Sugar Cinnamon Pop Tarts

Ingredients
- 2 sheets pastry dough homemade or store-bought
- 0 for dusting flour
- 0.5 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1 egg large, mixed with 2 teaspoons milk
- 2 teaspoons milk
- 0.75 cup confectioners’ sugar
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 0.25 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 0 dash ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Roll out both portions of the pastry dough on a floured surface to a 1/8-inch thickness. Cut each into nine rectangles.
- In a bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and flour until well combined.
- Brush each rectangle of dough with egg wash to serve as glue for sealing.
- Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the filling mixture onto each rectangle. Cover with another rectangle and crimp the edges with a fork to seal.
- Poke holes in the tops of each tart with a toothpick or fork to allow steam to escape.
- Brush the tops with egg wash and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- For the glaze, mix confectioners’ sugar, 1 tablespoon milk, vanilla extract, and a dash of cinnamon until smooth and spreadable.
- Let the pop tarts cool slightly before spooning the glaze on top. Allow the glaze to set before serving.
