Easy No-Knead Focaccia Bread
This shockingly easy focaccia bread recipe is perfect for beginners—promise—no stand mixer required. Just make sure to leave enough time for two dough rises.

Ingredients
- 0.25 ounce active dry yeast about 2¼ tsp.
- 2 teaspoon honey
- 2.5 cups lukewarm water
- 5 cups all-purpose flour
- 5 teaspoon kosher salt
- 4 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
- 0 butter for greasing the pan
- 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
- 0 flaky sea salt
- 4 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 3 garlic cloves grated
Instructions
- Whisk the yeast, honey, and lukewarm water in a medium bowl and let sit for 5 minutes until it foams.
- Add the flour and salt to the yeast mixture and mix with a rubber spatula until a shaggy dough forms.
- Pour 4 Tbsp. olive oil into a large bowl, transfer the dough into it, and cover. Chill until the dough doubles in size, about 8 hours.
- Butter a baking pan and pour 1 Tbsp. of olive oil into the center. Shape the dough into a rough ball and place it in the pan to coat with oil.
- Preheat the oven to 450°F. Dimple the focaccia with your fingers, drizzle with remaining olive oil, and sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
- Bake focaccia until puffed and golden brown, about 20-30 minutes. Melt butter and grate in garlic, then brush over the focaccia.
