Banana Pudding Stuffed French Toast
Delicious Hawaiian rolls filled with banana pudding, dipped in Nilla wafers, and topped with strawberries for a sweet brunch treat.

Ingredients
- 2 cups milk
- 0.5 cups sugar
- 0.125 teaspoons salt
- 4 egg yolks
- 0.25 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 bananas sliced
- 1 bowl ice
- 8 Hawaiian rolls cut with holes
- 3 egg
- 0.5 cups milk
- 1 cup Nilla wafers crushed
- 2 tablespoons butter for greasing
- 1 bananas additional, sliced
- 0.5 cup Nilla wafers additional, crushed
- 0.25 cup strawberry syrup
Instructions
- Heat milk, sugar, and salt in a saucepan over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
- Whisk together egg yolks and additional sugar until pale and thick, then slowly temper with the hot milk mixture.
- Add vanilla and butter to the egg mixture, and whisk until thickened.
- Stir in sliced bananas and cool over a bowl of ice.
- Transfer pudding to a piping bag, poke holes in Hawaiian rolls, and fill them with pudding.
- Prepare an egg mixture for the French toast dip.
- Dip filled rolls into the egg mixture, then coat them with crushed Nilla wafers.
- Cook each roll on a greased skillet until golden brown on all sides.
- Top with additional sliced bananas, Nilla wafers, and strawberry syrup.
