Salmon Tacos with Avocado Crema

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1.5 pounds salmon
  • 0 parchment paper
  • 2 avocado ripe
  • 0.5 cup sour cream
  • 1 jalapeño finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 8 corn or flour tortillas
  • 0.5 cup pickled red onion
  • 1 cup shredded green cabbage
  • 0.25 cup cilantro finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Mix together brown sugar, smoked paprika, and garlic powder in a small bowl.
  3. Rub the spice mixture evenly over the salmon.
  4. Place the salmon on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 15-20 minutes until fully cooked.
  5. Mash avocado with sour cream and finely chopped jalapeño, adding lime juice to the mixture for flavor.
  6. Warm the tortillas in a skillet over medium heat or directly over a gas flame for 20-30 seconds.
  7. Assemble the tacos by placing salmon chunks on the tortillas, topping them with avocado crema, pickled red onion, shredded cabbage, and cilantro.
