Butter Garlic Steak Bites and Mashed Potatoes

Cook time: 30 minutes

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ribeye steak
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon white wine optional
  • 2 pounds potatoes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0 parsley chopped, optional

Instructions

  1. Cut the ribeye steak into bite-sized pieces and season with salt and black pepper.
  2. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Add the steak pieces to the skillet and cook until browned on all sides, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Remove the steak pieces and set aside. Deglaze the pan with a tablespoon of white wine, if desired.
  5. In a separate pot, boil peeled and chopped potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15 minutes.
  6. Drain the potatoes and mash with butter, heavy cream, and a pinch of salt until smooth and creamy.
  7. Serve the steak bites on a platter with the mashed potatoes on the side. Garnish with parsley if desired.
