French Dip Croissants

Delicious croissants filled with roast beef and swiss cheese, served with au jus for dipping.

French Dip Croissants

Ingredients

  • 1 packet McCormick Au Jus Mix
  • 6 slices roast beef
  • 2 tablespoons au jus
  • 1 as needed flour
  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 1.5 cups shredded swiss cheese
  • 6 slices roast beef
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 as needed grated parmesan
  • 1 as needed chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Prepare au jus mix according to instructions on the packet.
  3. Heat roast beef in a skillet over medium heat with 2 tablespoons of prepared au jus, simmering briefly on both sides.
  4. Remove roast beef from heat and set aside.
  5. Lightly flour a cutting board and lay out the puff pastry.
  6. Sprinkle shredded swiss cheese over the puff pastry and layer with the heated roast beef.
  7. Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, slice the puff pastry into 9–10 triangles.
  8. Starting at the wide end, gently roll each triangle into a croissant shape and place on a baking sheet.
  9. Brush each croissant with beaten egg.
  10. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown.
  11. Top baked croissants with grated parmesan and chopped parsley.
  12. Serve croissants with warm au jus for dipping.
