Banana Chocolate Chip Cake

Ingredients

  • 3 pieces ripe bananas
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup melted butter
  • 2 pieces large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mash 3 ripe bananas until smooth.
  3. Add 1 cup of granulated sugar and 1/2 cup of melted butter to the mashed bananas. Mix until well combined.
  4. Stir in 2 large eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and mix until incorporated.
  6. In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
  7. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring until just combined.
  8. Fold in 1 cup of chocolate chips.
  9. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  11. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
