- 0.25 cup all-purpose flour
- 5 cups whole milk
- 0 pinch cayenne pepper
- 0 kosher salt
- 0 freshly ground black pepper
- 2 Tbsp unsalted butter
- 0 freshly ground black pepper
- 1 Tbsp thinly sliced chives
Instructions
- Arrange a rack in the center of the oven; preheat to 375°F. Grease a 13" x 9" baking dish with cooking spray. Cut biscuits into quarters and arrange half in the prepared pan.

- Add flour and cook, stirring, until just slightly darkened, about 1 minute more.
- Add milk and cayenne; season with salt and black pepper and whisk to combine.
- Bring gravy to a boil, then reduce heat to medium and bring to a simmer. Cook, stirring occasionally, until thickened, about 3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and pour gravy over par-baked biscuits. Top with remaining biscuits.
- Brush biscuits with butter; season with black pepper.
- Continue to bake until golden and cooked through, 20 to 25 minutes.
- Top with chives.
