Garlic Bread Smash Burgers

Cook time: 30 minutes

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 1 whole onion
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 300 grams 5% mince meat
  • 1 to taste salt
  • 1 to taste pepper
  • 1 as needed oil
  • 4 slices cheese slices
  • 2 whole large potatoes
  • 1 as needed oil
  • 1 to taste salt
  • 1 to taste pepper
  • 1 to taste Cajun seasoning
  • 1 to taste chili flakes
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 sprinkle fresh parsley
  • 2 teaspoons garlic granules
  • 2 whole brioche burger buns
  • 4 tablespoons burger sauce

Instructions

  1. Slice the onion and add to an oiled pan along with the honey. Fry until soft and browned, stirring frequently to prevent burning, for about 15 to 20 minutes.
  2. Combine the mince meat with salt and pepper, then portion into 4 balls.
  3. Add the meat balls to an oiled pan and smash as thin as possible using a pan. Fry for 7 minutes until cooked through and browned.
  4. Add a cheese slice on top of each burger, remove from heat, and cover with a lid to melt the cheese.
  5. Chop the potatoes into chips and add to the air fryer. Coat with oil, salt, pepper, Cajun seasoning, and a sprinkle of chili flakes.
  6. Cook the chips in the air fryer at 180°C for 30 minutes.
  7. Melt the butter and add parsley and garlic granules. Coat the brioche buns with this mixture.
  8. Toast the coated buns until golden brown.
  9. Assemble the burgers by layering the cooked patties with cheese, onions, and burger sauce on the toasted buns.
  10. Wrap the assembled burgers in foil and place back into the air fryer for 5 minutes to heat through.
