Baked Crunchy Hot Honey Chicken
A popular favorite, this crispy oven-baked chicken is covered with a deliciously spicy honey butter sauce. Serve with rice or home-baked fries for a hearty meal.

Ingredients
- 6 cups Cornflakes
- 0.25 cups Parmesan Cheese
- 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
- 0.5 teaspoon Onion Powder
- 0.5 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 2 large Eggs
- 2 tablespoons Hot Sauce
- 2 pounds Boneless Chicken Breasts or Thighs smaller pieces
- 0 for drizzling Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 0.5 cups Honey
- 3 tablespoons Hot Sauce
- 1 teaspoons Cayenne Pepper
- 0.75 teaspoon Chipotle Chili Powder
- 0.5 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 0.5 teaspoon Onion Powder
- 0 Sea Salt to taste
- 0 Fresh Thyme, Cilantro, or Parsley for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F. Crush the cornflakes in a large mixing bowl.
- Add parmesan cheese, smoked paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder to the crushed cornflakes.
- In a separate bowl, beat two large eggs and mix in hot sauce.
- Prepare chicken by dipping in the egg mixture, then coat thoroughly with the cornflake mixture.
- Place the coated chicken on a baking sheet. Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil.
- Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and crispy. In a small saucepan, combine honey, hot sauce, cayenne pepper, chipotle chili powder, garlic powder, and onion powder for the hot honey sauce.
- Heat the sauce over medium heat until it begins to bubble. Drizzle the hot honey over the baked chicken and sprinkle with sea salt and fresh herbs.
