Creamy Gochujang Pasta
A spicy and creamy fusion pasta with the delightful kick of gochujang, perfect for any pasta night.

Ingredients
- 8 ounces fusilli pasta
- 0.25 cup water reserved pasta water
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 0.5 shallot diced
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 3 tablespoons gochujang paste
- 0.25 cup water reserved pasta water
- 0.67 cups heavy cream
- 0.25 cup parmesan cheese freshly grated
- 8 ounces fusilli pasta cooked
- 0 furikake for garnish
- 0 parmesan cheese additional for garnish
Instructions
- Cook pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water until al dente. Drain and reserve 1/4 cup of pasta water.
- In a large pan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add diced shallot and minced garlic. Sauté for 3 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in the gochujang paste and continue to cook for another minute until the paste deepens in color.
- Mix in the reserved pasta water until the sauce is smooth. Bring it to a simmer.
- Slowly stir in the heavy cream and simmer for 2 minutes. Add parmesan cheese and simmer until the sauce thickens, stirring occasionally.
- Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat thoroughly.
- Garnish with furikake and additional parmesan cheese before serving.
