Hot Honey Halloumi Turkish Eggs
A true flavor bomb combining salty halloumi, sticky hot honey, and cool creamy garlicky yogurt. Packed with protein and bursting with contrasting textures for an unforgettable meal.

Ingredients
- 2 tbsp neutral flavoured oil
- 1 tsp chili flakes
- 1 clove garlic thinly sliced
- 0 pinch salt
- 1 cup Greek yogurt 2% or higher
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 0 to taste salt
- 1 pack halloumi cut into ¼ inch slices
- 1 tbsp avocado oil
- 4 large egg
- 0 to taste salt for boiling water
- 1 tbsp hot honey
- 0.25 English cucumber thinly sliced
- 0 to taste parsley chopped, for garnish
- 0 to taste flakey sea salt for garnish
- 0 bread toasted, for serving
Instructions
- Prepare the chili-garlic oil by heating neutral oil, garlic, and chili flakes in a small pan over medium heat for 2-3 minutes without burning the garlic. Transfer to a small bowl.
- Combine Greek yogurt and minced garlic in a medium bowl. Season with salt and mix well. Set aside to reach room temperature.
- Pat the halloumi slices dry with a paper towel. Heat avocado oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add halloumi and fry for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown. Drain on a paper towel.
- Bring a medium pot of salted water to a boil. Gently add eggs and cook for 2-3 minutes or until set to your liking. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Arrange a generous swipe of garlicky yogurt on a plate or shallow bowl. Top with poached eggs, fried halloumi, and drizzle hot honey over halloumi and chili oil over everything. Garnish with cucumber slices, parsley, and flakey sea salt.
- Serve the dish with your favorite toasted bread or warm pita on the side.
