Strawberry Cold Foam Matcha Latte

Ingredients

  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 0.5 cup sugar
  • 0.5 cup water
  • 2.5 tbsp heavy whipping cream Adjust between 2-3 tbsp depending on desired thickness.
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp matcha powder
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 3 tbsp water hot
  • 1 cup milk
  • 0 tbsp strawberry syrup Additional for topping, as desired
  • 0 tsp matcha powder Optional for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine 1 cup strawberries, 1/2 cup sugar, and 1/2 cup water in a pot over medium-high heat.
  2. Boil the mixture for 10 minutes. Then reduce heat and simmer for another 10 minutes until the strawberries are mushy.
  3. Strain the syrup through a fine sieve and refrigerate.
  4. In a small bowl, combine 1 tbsp of strawberry syrup, 2-3 tbsp of heavy whipping cream, and 1 tbsp of milk. Whisk until it reaches your desired consistency.
  5. Prepare the matcha by mixing 1 tsp matcha powder, 1 tsp sugar, and 3 tbsp hot water until dissolved.
  6. Pour the matcha over a glass of milk, adding more strawberry syrup if desired.
  7. Top with the strawberry cold foam you prepared earlier and serve immediately. Optionally, add a sprinkle of matcha powder on top.
