Hong Kong-inspired Mini French Toast

Crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside mini French toasts made with King's Hawaiian Original Sweet Rolls, filled with peanut butter, and topped with sweet condensed milk.

Hong Kong-inspired Mini French Toast

Ingredients

  • 4 King's Hawaiian Original Sweet Rolls sliced in half
  • 8 tbsp peanut butter
  • 3 egg
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 0.25 cup sweet condensed milk

Instructions

  1. Slice each King's Hawaiian Original Sweet Roll in half.
  2. Spread peanut butter on one half of each roll and sandwich them together with the other half.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until well combined.
  4. Dip each sandwiched roll in the egg mixture, ensuring all sides are coated.
  5. Heat a pan over medium heat and add a little butter.
  6. Pan fry each side of the rolls until golden and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  7. Drizzle sweet condensed milk over the top of the crispy rolls before serving.
