Spicy Garlic Bok Choy

Spicy Garlic Bok Choy

Ingredients

  • 4 heads baby bok choy sliced into halves
  • 0 cups water
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons chili oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Shaoxing wine
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons water

Instructions

  1. Slice baby bok choy into halves. Carefully separate the leaves and wash them in cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. Finely mince garlic cloves.
  3. Combine chili oil, regular soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, sesame oil, and sugar in a small bowl to make the sauce.
  4. On low-medium heat, add vegetable oil to a pan and sauté minced garlic until it becomes fragrant.
  5. Increase the heat to medium-high. Add the prepared baby bok choy and a splash of water. Cook until the bok choy is softened.
  6. Add the sauce to the pan, toss everything together for a final time to ensure even coating, and remove from heat.
